Interest in U.S. Grant Trail Expands

ST. LOUIS, MO. January 14, 2014 – Missouri’s Civil War Heritage Foundation has announced that it has received additional funding from both the Missouri Division of Tourism and The Friends of Fort Davidson for the purpose of expanding the U.S. Grant Trail south from St. Louis to Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Currently, the trail spans Northeastern and East Central Missouri, highlighting the path of Ulysses Grant as well as sites of many Civil War battles. This new funding is a crucial addition toward the full implementation of the project.
